Jesse is a mixed media artist who's primary concentration is sculpture. He works with a wide range a materials such as wood, metal, foam and whatever he can get his hands on. His sense of humor is what drives the work and at the same time his focus and attention to detail as a craftsman help make the work be more than just a one liner. Raised and educated in Upstate New York, Jesse received his BFA in sculpture from Alfred University's School of Art and Design and his MFA in sculpture from The State University of New York at New Paltz. Upon moving to Columbus he went on to help form the ARTillery artists group. Besides making artwork Jesse can be found shredding at local skateparks, terrorizing the basketball court at Junctionview, teaching welding classes at The Columbus Idea Foundry, or just hanging out on his front porch drinking beer and trying to learn Neil Young songs on his guitar.
