Dan Gerdeman shows his art regularly and is the founding member of the Cowtown Lowbrow Collective in Columbus, Ohio. Gerdeman works primarily as a painter but also delves regularly in video, printmaking, and animation. He is most interested in illustrating humans in their most petty and profound moments. He is a hopeful artist.

Gerdeman received his B.S. in Art Education from the Bowling Green State University and his M.A. in Art Education from the Ohio State University. He has taught in rural, suburban and inner city schools in Ohio and California. Presently, he is drawing, painting, and portfolio instructor at Hilliard Davidson High Schoo. His wife Judy is both a costume designer/costumer for theatre and film, and a painter/crafter. He is the father of three children.
